Brewerton Speedway team puts Hurricane Harvey on hold to shift focus to Outlaw 200 and Super DIRT Week efforts

The Outlaw 200 at Fulton Speedway and Super DIRT Week at Oswego Speedway continue to grow in magnitude every year. To help further the success and growth of the two marquee Northeast events, John Wight and the Brewerton Speedway team have decided to cancel the Hurricane Harvey this year and shift their full focus to Fulton and Oswego.

“The Outlaw 200 and Super DIRT Week are a celebration of dirt racing in the Northeast, and their success is important to the region, which is why we decided to cancel the Hurricane Harvey this year to focus our efforts on those events,” said John Wight, owner of Brewerton Speedway and Fulton Speedway. “DIRTcar and World Racing Group have been exceptional partners and supporters of Brewerton and Fulton. We want to see our events be as successful as possible and look forward to further growing the Outlaw 200 and Super DIRT Week.”

The 39th Neivel Precision Plumbing Outlaw 200 Weekend at Fulton Speedway will take place Thursday-Saturday, Oct. 2-4. The weekend will start with Thursday Thunder, featuring Billy Whittaker Cars & Trux Hobby Stocks, E&V Energy Novice Sportsman, RL Cleaning 4-Cylinders and AmeriCU Mod Lites. Then, Fast Friday brings Tracey Road DIRTcar Modifieds, Dot Foods DIRTcar Sportsman, Empire Super Sprints, and the DIRTcar Pro Stock Series. That all leads to Saturday’s main events – the Outlaw 200 and Industrial Tire of CNY Sportsman Shootout.

Super DIRT Week 53 at Oswego Speedway, Monday-Saturday, Oct. 6-11, is bringing a full week of activities, and non-stop racing action Wednesday through Saturday, highlighted by the DIRTcar 358 Modified Salute to the Troops 150 and DIRTcar I LOVE NY Pro Stock 50 on Friday, and the Billy Whittaker Cars 200 and DIRTcar Sportsman Great Lakes 75 on Saturday.
