Chris Hile Charges to Brewerton Speedway Modified Win, Jason Parkhurst Jr. DIRTcar Sportsman Series Winner

BREWERTON, NY (June 27, 2025) – Chris Hile kept the streak going Friday night in the Tracey Road DIRTcar Big Block Modifieds at the Brewerton Speedway. With Hile’s win he became the sixth different winner in six feature races this season.

An impressive field of 37 cars signed into the pits for the DIRTcar Sportsman Series Central Region. In the 30-Lap feature Jason Parkhurst Jr. earned his first career Series win and third victory this season at the speedway.

Other winners on GT Automotive night. Justin Williams (AmeriCU Credit Union Mod Lites) Nate Powers (Mirabito DIRTcar Four Cylinder Super Stocks).

Kyle Devendorf would lead the opening two laps of the 35-Lap Modified feature when Tyler Trump went to the cushion to drive into the lead.

Trump would see his sizable lead go away with a yellow on lap nine. Trump, Devendorf, Dylan Zacharias, Alan Fink, and Todd Root would be the top five on the restart.

When the race went back to green Devendorf would retake the lead with Trump going back to the top spot one lap later.

Leader Trump would slow on lap eleven with what appeared to be clay packed into a wheel.

On the restart Alan Fink would drive into the lead and Chris Hile who started 12th, would take over second and set his sights on Fink taking the lead on lap thirteen.

Yellows would slow the action on laps fifteen and seventeen. The top five were Hile, Fink, Tim Sears Jr. from 19th, Chris Hulsizer 14th, and Jimmy Phelps 11th.

On lap 19 third place Hulsizer would break ending his night.

With ten laps to go Hile and Fink were under a blanket with Phelps right there waiting for any mistake by the top two.

Phelps would move into second just before a yellow with seven laps remaining.

Hile, Phelps, Fink, Sears, and Zacharias would be the top five for the dash to checkers.

Jimmy Phelps would challenge for a lap on the restart, after that Chris Hile would pull away for the win. Tim Sears Jr., Michael Maresca from 15th, and Alan Fink finished third through fifth.

Top Three Feature Finishing DIRTcar 358 Modified Bonus: 1. ($300) 28- Alan Fink 2. ($200) 18s- Sean Beardsley 3. ($100) 38p- Jason Parkhurst.

In the 30-Lap $1000-to-win DIRTcar Sportsman Series Central Region feature saw Richard Murtaugh heartbreak become Jason Parkhurst victory.

Race-long leader Murtaugh had victory in sight as Parkhurst was slowly reeling him. With two laps to go Parkhurst, using the top side of the speedway drove around Murtaugh right when Murtaugh suffered a mechanical issue ending his run.

When the green came back out Jason Parkhurst Jr. held off region points leader Gavin Eisele, Tony Finch II, Tyler Corcoran, and Emmett Waldron.

The 20-Lap Mod Lite feature would see Roger Olschewske grab the lead at the drop of the green and would lead until Justin Williams powered into the lead on lap eleven.

Once in the lead Williams would dominate the rest of the way for his first win this season. Five-time winner this season Joe Isabell, Roger Olschewske, Mike Mullen, and Jacob Dupra finished second through fifth.

Walt VanEpps would lead the 15-Lap Four Cylinder Super Stock feature at the drop of the green when the caution came out on lap eight. On the restart Nate Powers and Chris Bonoffski would drive by VanEpps.

The rest of the race points leader Bonoffski would throw everything he had at Powers. But Powers was too fast picking up his second win in a row. Early leader VanEpps finished third with Corey Valade, and Jacob Kimball completing the top five.

Celebrate July 4th at the Brewerton Speedway when America’s race car invades the speedway for round three of the annual Empire Super Sprints CNY Speedweek on Friday, July 4 presented by J. Gordon Contracting.

Also racing on the ‘D-Shaped Dirt Demon’ will be the Tracey Road DIRTcar Big Block Modifieds, DOT Foods DIRTcar Sportsman, Mirabito Four Cylinder Super Stocks. The Mod Lites have the week off.

Camping is free. Follow the signs along the tree line to the designated camping area.
