Disciplinary Penalties from 6/6

Competitors/Teams: Matt Caprara, Kyle Devendorf
Event: June 6, 2025 Brewerton Speedway DIRTcar Modified Feature
Events:
After a crash that involved both Mr. Caprara and Mr. Devendorf, both drivers exited their cars while the remainder of the field was still in motion under yellow. Race control subsequently was forced to throw a red flag in the interest of driver safety forcing a delay.
Violation:
Specifically, both drivers violated Section 1, Subsection E, letter of the DIRTcar Rulebook which states:
E. Restrictions
e. All drivers should not exit their car unless there are extenuating emergency circumstances. They should shut off the electrical power, remain in their car, and wait for track and/or safety officials without removing any personal safety equipment. At no time should a driver and/or crew member approach any portion of the racing surface or another moving vehicle.
Brewerton Speedway takes driver safety very seriously. Drivers are strictly prohibited from exiting their cars on the racetrack and must stay with their car after an accident.
Penalty:
Mr. Devendorf and Mr. Caprara are both fined their money earned for the feature event.
