Trenca Tackling Trio of Empire Super Sprints Speedweek Shows

Inside Line Promotions – CLAY, N.Y. (July 2, 2019) – Joe Trenca will tackle three nights of this weekend’s Lucas Oil Empire Super Sprints CNY Speedweek.

The Mucci Motorsports driver is scheduled to compete on Thursday at Land of Legends Raceway in Canandaigua, N.Y.; on Friday at Brewerton Speedway in Brewerton, N.Y.; and on Saturday at Fulton Speedway in Fulton, N.Y.

“It’s a good week for sprint car racing in New York,” he said. “Plus, they are all close to our shop. It’s great to be able to race close to home.”

Trenca has two starts at Land of Legends Raceway this season. He scored a fourth-place finish during his season opener before recording a ninth-place run last month.

“We ran good the first time there this year and the last time there we were in the wrong place at the wrong time,” he said. “That hurt us for getting a top five.”

Trenca hasn’t raced at Brewerton Speedway since September 2016. His career-best outing of eighth came in 2015.

“We haven’t been to Brewerton in a while,” he said. “We struggled there for a while, but we were rolling better there the last couple of races.”

Trenca posted a pair of top 10s at Fulton Speedway in 2017 and his career-best run of fifth place occurred in 2016.

“We’ve had up and down luck at Fulton,” he said. “We’ve been running better in the 360 in the slick stuff so I think that bodes well for Fulton and all the races this week.”
