BREWERTON SPEEDWAYS 60TH SEASON OPENER HAS BEEN POSTPONED FOR ONE WEEK DUE TO POOR TRACK CONDITIONS - RACING ACTION IS SET TO GET UNDERWAY FRIDAY NIGHT APRIL 18TH
Brewerton, NY - After much consideration Speedway Management is sorry to announce that the race scheduled for Friday April 11th has been rescheduled for Friday April 18th. Track conditions were not favorable for this coming Friday so in the best interest of everyone and for the the safety of the drivers Brewerton Speedway Management has decided to postpone the 2008 season opener for one week in order to get the track ready for the season ahead. "We want the drivers to put on the best show possible & the fans to see the best that the drivers of the "D"- Shaped Damon has to offer".
A cold March contributed to the snow hanging around a little longer then usual. Which hampered preparation of the racing surface. Some area's will need a little more work then other's, but management guarantees an awesome opening night.
The 2008 racing season will get underway on Friday April 18. When the Big Block Modifieds take to the "D" Shaped Demon for the first time this season. Joining the Big Block are the IMCA Modified. The ESDCA Mod-Lites and the 4 Cyl. Super Stocks. Gates will open at 5pm, with racing action to get underway at 7pm sharp.
