DECKER HOLDS OFF McCREADIE FOR THIRD WIN OF THE SEASON AT BREWERTON

BREWERTON, NY...Billy Decker
held off Tim McCreadie to win his third 35-lap DIRT Big Block
Modified feature race of the season last Friday at Brewerton
Speedway on Coca-Cola Night. Decker came charging from the eighth
starting position and then held off the most talented field in DIRT
Modified racing to claim the win in the LJL Racing Gypsum
Wholesalers ride.

Stewart jumped out to the early lead at the start of the Coca-Cola
DIRT Big Block Modified feature from the pole starting position.
Stewart led the opening four circuits. Tom Sears took the top spot
away from Stewart on lap five. Jimmy Phelps became the third
different leader of the event on lap-10. Jimmy Phelps would pace the
pack through lap-12.
It was on lap-13 when Decker came
away with the lead. But, Decker had company in working to the front
of the field in the form of Tim McCreadie. McCreadie passed Jimmy
Phelps on lap-16 to move into the second position. The
second-generation driver made several runs at Decker, but was never
able to take the top spot away. Decker earned the $2,000 payday with
McCreadie settling for second.

Hulsizer completed the top five feature finishers. Danny Johnson,
Ryan Phelps, Stewart Friesen, Matt Sheppard and Chuck Bower finished
in positions second through tenth respectively.
Current IMCA Modified point leader
Johnny Hill won his second 20-lap feature race of the season last
Friday night. Rob Keller, Bill Anderson Sr., Dale Caswell and Pat
Pontello finished in positions second through fifth respectively.
Hill ran down and made the winning move past Rob Keller on lap-18.
Pat Pontello led the opening six laps of the feature race.
Dan Williams earned his first
20-lap ESDCA Mod Lite feature race win of the year last Friday
night. Dan Williams made the winning move past Kevin Donhauser on
lap-15. Jeff Barker, Tod Simons and Donhauser were all feature race
leaders in the caution marred event.

Modified feature. |
Chuck Powelczyk claimed his fifth win of
the season in the 15-lap Four Cylinder Super Stock feature race last
Friday night. Mitch Hurlbert, Claude Hutchings Jr., Rich Rainville
and Rich Murtaugh followed the winner across the finish line.
Powelczyk came away with the lead from Joey Delacruz on lap-12.
Lorraine Powelczyk and Aron Backus were both early feature race
leaders.
Race competition will start-up
again this Friday at Brewerton Speedway with the DIRT Big Block
Modifieds, IMCA Modifieds, ESDCA Mod Lites, Four Cylinder Super
Stocks and the Four Cylinder Enduro racers all in action. Show time
