FULLER
RIDES CUSHION TO THIRD DIRT BIG BLOCK MODIFIED FEATURE WIN OF THE SEASON
ON HOFMANN HOT HAUS NIGHT
BREWERTON, NY...Tim Fuller used the cushion
to perfection last Friday at Brewerton Speedway in claiming the victory
in the 45-lap DIRT Big Block Modified main event. It was the third
triumph of the season at the D-shaped DIRT Demon for the driver from
Edwards, N.Y. The victory for the Bob and Michele Faust owned, B&F
General Machine car was worth $2,300.
Sean Beardsley raced out to the early
lead at the start of the Hofmann Hot Haus DIRT Big Block Modified main
event from the pole starting position. Beardsley only led the initial
circuit as Scott Prentice paced the talented field on lap two. With five
laps complete Prentice was being followed in the top five by Steve
Hulsizer, Beardsley, Fuller and Gary Tomkins.
On lap-12 Hulsizer became the third
different leader of the race after taking the top spot away from
Prentice. At the halfway mark Hulsizer, Fuller, Prentice, Tomkins and
Sean Beardsley raced in the top five. Billy Decker, Matt Sheppard, Pat
Ward, Chuck Bower and Ryan Phelps raced in positions sixth through tenth
respectively at the halfway stage.
Fuller took the top spot away from
Hulsizer on lap-19. Once in front Fuller was never seriously challenged
and went on to the victory. Decker came from the 11th starting position
to finish second. Ward, Phelps and Alan Johnson completed the top five
feature finishers. Phelps recorded his best feature finish of the
season. Johnson worked up to fifth, after racing in the 11th position
with five laps remaining.

Modified feature race of the 2005 season last Friday night. Johnny Hill,
Bill Anderson Sr., Les Hubbard and Carmen Vona finished in positions
second through fifth respectively. Finch took the lead away from Brian
Evenden on lap four. Finch then held off the late race challenge of
defending IMCA Modified Track Champion Johnny Hill to earn the win.
Doug Williams also became a two-time
feature winner this season at Brewerton Speedway. Williams earned the
victory in the 20-lap Mod Lite main event. Darren Forbes, Lowell Zehr,
Rocco Leone and Ray Donhauser finished in positions second through fifth
respectively. Williams took the lead from Frank Doll Jr. on lap-17 and
he never gave it back.
Todd Williamson won his fourth 15-lap
Four Cylinder Super Stock feature race of the season last Friday night.

Williamson across the finish line. Jeff Herbert led the opening eight
laps of the main event. Williamson passed Herbert on lap nine and then
