FULLER WINS HIS SECOND FEATURE OF THE SEASON IN DOMINATING FASHION

BREWERTON, NY…Tim Fuller won his second Brewerton Speedway feature of the season in dominating fashion Friday night. Fuller started fifth in the main event and took the lead on the fifth circuit. Once in front Fuller pulled away from the rest of the field in a race only slowed for one caution period. The victory for the Bob and Michele Faust owned, B&F General Machine sponsored DIRT Modified was worth $2,000.

Craig Terrell jumped out to the early lead at the start of the DIRT Big Block Modified finale from the outside pole starting position. The first and only caution period of the race came about on lap four when a chain-reaction accident collected Bob McCreadie. Terrell restarted the event as the race leader, but it was a lead that soon belonged to Fuller. With 10 laps complete Fuller was being followed in the top five by Terrell, Ryan Phelps, Vic Coffey and Pat Ward.

At the halfway point of the 35-lap main event Fuller was being chased in the top five by Pat Ward, Terrell, Phelps and Alan Johnson. With Fuller opening up his lead some tremendous battles were still going on for position. Fuller went on to his second victory of the season at the D-shaped DIRT Demon, coming off his wild accident three weeks ago.

Pat Ward drove a steady race to finish second. Defending Track Champion Alan Johnson came from the 15th starting position to finish third. Gary Tomkins and Vic Coffey completed the top five feature finishers. Billy Decker, Ryan Phelps, Scott Prentice, Chuck Bower and Matt Sheppard finished in positions sixth through tenth respectively.

Sean Lias earned the victory in the Dean Hubbs IMCA Modified Memorial feature. Bill Anderson Jr. had to settle for a second place finish after chasing down the winner. Johnny Hill, Bob Bradt and Bill Anderson Jr. completed the top five feature finishers. It was on lap nine when Lias took the lead away from Anderson Jr.

Tim Devendorf claimed his first win of the season in the Dwarf Car / Mod Lite division. Bob Garafolo, Darren Forbes, Dan Williams and Frank Doll Jr. finished in positions second through fifth respectively. Doll was the highest finishing traditional Dwarf Car with a strong fifth place effort.

Defending Four Cylinder Super Stock Track Champion Chuck Powelczyk earned his first feature win of the season Friday night. Ken Klinkowsky, Joey Delacruz, Russ Wassner and Lee Hartzog completed the top five feature finishers.

Jerry Herbert earned the victory in the 25-lap Four Cylinder Enduro. Mitch Pietrowicz, Chad Guthrie, Sam Curcie and Terry Engerbretsen chased Herbert across the finish line in the wild race.

Action will continue this Friday at Brewerton Speedway with the DIRT Big Block Modifieds, IMCA Modifieds, Dwarf Cars / Mod Lites and Four Cylinder Super Stocks in competition. Diamond Dan Carter and his “Psycho Jet ATV” will also be part of the great evening of family entertainment. Show time is 7:30 p.m. For more information please call the track office at 315-668-6906 or go on line to www.brewertonspeedway.com.
