2009 Brewerton Speedway IMCA Modified Champion Kevan Cook Adds To His Trophy Case

IMCA championships pay off for Kevan Cook

CONSTANTIA, N.Y. - Kevan Cook will have considerably more than
trophies and plaques to display following his stellar 2009 IMCA
Modified campaign.

The Constantia pilot picked up more than $6,000 in cash and $3,000- plus in product and product certifi cates this post-season.

Cook's ButlerBuilt Eastern Region championship and fourth place
national finish each paid $2,500.

He banked another $500 as champion of the World Products Empire State
Series, and $353.76 and $315.58 for winning track titles at Brewerton
Speedway and Skyline Raceway, respectively, making for a total of
$6,169.34 in cash.

The national finish netted $100 from FK Bearings and from Fragola
Performance Systems. Cook will get an other $100 from Smiley's Racing
Products for his New York state championship.

His regional crown also garnered a bellhousing kit from Quick Time,
spruce-up kit from Performance Bodies and a set of pistons from Icon
Forged Pistons, along with product certificates from JAZ ($500), Bert
Transmis-sion, Comp Cams, Engine Pro and Speedway Engineering ($300
each), Edelbrock ($100) and KRC ($75), and a custom wall graphic from
DirtHead.

Cook received a set of rocker arms from Scorpion Performance for
leading the region with 17 feature wins.

His series title added a set of heads from World Products and $100
from Howards Cams.

Completing the bounty, Cook is getting $50 from Axle Exchange for
each local track title as well as a set of rivets from aDP Rivet.
