Outlaw 200 Weekend Sportsman Shootout & Dirt Track At Charlotte DIRTcar Sportsman All-Star Invitational Guaranteed Spots Up For Grabs

Brewerton, NY – September 13, 2016 – This Friday, September 16 the Brewerton Speedway will host the cars and stars of two DIRTcar touring series when the Modified Super DIRTcar Series and the DIRTcar Sportsman Championship Series will be in the pits ready to tackle the ‘D-Shaped Dirt Demon.’

The 800 horsepower Modified Super DIRTcar Series will do battle in the 100 lap ‘Duel at the Demon II.’ Brewerton DIRTcar series regulars will be led by track champion Jimmy Phelps, Larry Wight, Pat Ward and Max McLaughlin plus a strong field of weekly competitors. They will all be looking to hold off a stout field of series invaders that includes Matt Sheppard, Stewart Friesen, Tim Fuller, Brett Hearn, Peter Britten, Danny Johnson, Mike Mahaney, Keith Flach, Mat Williamson and others.

The 2015 ‘Duel at the Demon’ was won by Billy Decker. Decker swapped the lead back and forth in a torrid battle with Brett Hearn before finally making the winning pass on lap 76. Brett Hearn, Danny Johnson, Matt Sheppard, Vic Coffey finished second through fifth. Billy Whittaker, Justin Haers, Pat Ward, Ryan Phelps and Mat Williamson completed the top ten.

The Brewerton Speedway will have a stout field of sportsman track regulars looking to keep the $1,000- to-win, $100 to-start 50 lap DIRTcar Sportsman Championship Series feature victory at home from track outsiders on stop number eight for the popular series.

The race winner earns a guaranteed spot into the Fulton Speedway Industrial Tire of CNY Sportsman Shootout at Outlaw Weekend 9/30 & 10/1. Winner also earns a guaranteed spot for the DIRTcar Sportsman All-Star Invitational October 21 at the Dirt Track at Charlotte.

Speedway SUNY Canton Sportsman track champion Ron Davis III from Memphis, NY will look to keep his momentum going after winning two DIRTcar Sportsman Championship Series races last weekend at the Ransomville Speedway and Humberstone Speedway.

Adult 15 years and older grandstand admission is $25/ 14 years old and younger $10/Pits $40. Pit gate will open at 4:00/Grandstand 5:30/ Hot laps 6:30/ Time trials 6:45/ Heats 7:30.
