By Dave Medler (BALDWINSVILLE, NY) – The Brewerton and Fulton Speedway is proud to announce that Pro Race Cars will return as the title sponsor of the Mod Lites at both speedways for the 2016 season.
The Pro Race Cars Mod Lites will run a full season at the Brewerton Speedway with a handful of events at the sister track, the Fulton Speedway. The season will cap off with a TUSA event during the Outlaw 200 Weekend at the Fulton Speedway.
The division will once again run under TUSA rules that pretty much remain unchanged. Go to http://www.t-usa.org/ and click on the rules tab for the 2016 season.
Some news out of the Pro Race Car shop. Doug Williams who is looking to become the all-time Mod Lite winner at Brewerton Speedway has purchased a new Pro Car. Josh Kinney who is a jockey will be going from four-legged horsepower to Mod Lite horsepower making his debut in 2016 at the Brewerton Speedway. Brewerton regular Brian Meyers has purchased the potent Jim Bogett Pro Race Car that he drove last season. United Kingdom driver Ryan Harrison expects to fly in to race the Outlaw 200 Weekend event. He finished third at the Merrittville International race in the fall.
Pro Race Cars has the reputation as the originator and innovator in Mod Lite racing with builder Walt Breeding from Maryland. Breeding built his first Dwarf Car in 1993 and Mod Lite in 2000. With a big presence of Mod Lites in Upstate New York, Mod Lite regular, Jim Bogett, bought the company in 2013. Bogett strengthened the company by contracted noted Modified builder, Bicknell Racing Products, to fabricate the cars.

The unofficial kickoff to the 2016 Fulton and Brewerton season will be the 2nd annual Winter Blast on Saturday, February 20 at RFH’s Hideaway just south of Fulton Speedway. Point money and awards for the top-10 in 2015 Sportsman points at each track will be presented in conjunction with viewing of the final night of the DIRTcar Nationals from Volusia Speedway Park. Door prizes, DIRTcar license applications, season’s passes, rules and other forms will be available.
