Racing Excitement And Thrills Returns To The Brewerton Speedway This Friday July 10

By Dave Medler - BREWERTON, NY - July 8, 2015 - Fast, family, affordable, racing fun returns to the Brewerton Speedway this Friday evening July 10th presented by VP Small Engine fuels and Ingles Performance.

On the race card will be the Tracey Road Equipment Modifieds, SUNY Canton Sportsman, Pro Race Cars Mod Lites and the Hilton's Automotive Four-Cylinders.

Last Friday in the Tracey Road Equipment Modifieds where every Friday the field resembles a Super DIRTcar Series race the upset of the season was pulled off by Canadian Tim Kerr. In the caution free 35-Lap feature Kerr lead every lap in his first ever Modified victory. TOP-FIVE POINT STANDINGS - Jimmy Phelps 390. Matt Sheppard 376. Billy Decker 340. Pat Ward 340. The SUNY Canton Sportsman 25-Lap feature saw an exciting last lap, last corner pass for the win. Nick Krause and Tony Finch II would have a battle royal over the last few laps that saw Finch win the drag race off turn four beating Krause by 00.327 at the checkers. The only thing that has been able to keep Chuck Powelczyk from victory lane in the 2015 season has been mechanical issues. That is just what happened to Powelczyk Hilton’s Automotive 15-Lap feature. Just when it looked like he would remain undefeated this season Powelczyk pulled into the infield on lap 12 ending his seven-race win streak. Adult grandstand admission this Friday, July 10th will be $12 with everyone 18 yrs. old and younger FREE. Pit admission is $27 Participant/$30 Non-Participant. Gates will open at 5:30 with racing at 7:30.
