600 Micro-Sprints Join Brewerton Speedway Racing Friday June 12
 
 

By Dave Medler - BREWERTON, NY - June 10, 2015 - Murtaugh Restorations will present a Five-Star racing program this Friday evening, June 12th at the Brewerton Speedway. On the race card at the Route 11 "D-Shaped Dirt Demon" will be the Tracey Road Equipment Modifieds, SUNY Canton Sportsman, Pro Race Cars Mod Lites, Hilton's Automotive Four Cylinders and the NY6A 600 Micro Sprints. The Mod Lites and Four-Cylinders will first run their features from June 5 before the regular racing program.

The NY6A 600 Micro Sprint Tour will be making their first of four races at the Speedway. Don't let the word "Micro" fool you. These cars as as sophisticated as their big brother full-size Sprint Cars and provide fast, close and exciting two and three wide competition.

Tracey Road Equipment Modifieds - Last Friday in the exciting 35-Lap feature Billy Decker took the lead from Chris Hile on Lap-22 and then had to outrun points leader Jimmy Phelps for the victory. Jimmy Phelps keeps racking up top finishes after starting deep in the pack on a weekly basis and it seems only a matter of time before he goes to victory lane. SUNY CANTON SPORTSMAN - Once again the Sportsman put on a great 25-Lap main that came down to a three-car battle between Gregg, Kimball, Ron Davis III and Tony Finch II. When the checkers waved it was Davis sitting in victory lane. TOP-FIVE POINT STANDINGS - Jack Meeks 235. Ron Davis III 233. Tony Finch II 224. Mike Prentice 214. Gregg Kimball 206.

With two features this week in the Mod Lites and Four-Cylinders it will be a big points night.
