Regional Truck & Trailer Presents Brewerton Speedway Racing Program Friday, May 29

By Dave Medler - BREWERTON, NY - May, 27, 2015 - This Friday, May 29 Regional Truck & Trailer will present a Four-Star racing program at the Brewerton Speedway located on Rt. 11 in Brewerton. On the race card will be the Tracey Road Equipment DIRTcar Modifieds, SUNY Canton Sportsman, Pro Race Cars Mod Lites and Hilton's Automotive Four-Cylinders.

Last Friday Tom Sears Jr. ended the two-race win streak of defending Modified track champion Matt Sheppard. Sears worked on race long leader Chad Phelps for the majority of the race, finally making the winning pass on Lap-29 of the 35-Lap feature. With Matt Sheppard's ninth place finish coupled with his teammate Jimmy Phelps' third place, it tightened up the early season point standings. TOP-FIVE POINT STANDINGS - Matt Sheppard 160. Jimmy Phelps 158. Pat Ward 132. Tim Sears Jr. 125. Billy Decker 122.

In their first season as a weekly division the SUNY Canton Sportsman continue to put on great racing for the fans. Last Friday it came down to a green-white-checker finish that saw Jack Meeks drive by second place Ron Davis III and leader Tony Finch II on the final lap. TOP-FIVE POINT STANDINGS - Jack Meeks 162. Like the Modifieds the Pro Race Cars Mod Lites saw another win streak end when Joe Isabell saw his night end after contact with another competitor. In the 20-Lap feature Jim Bogett picked up the hard fought win. TOP-FIVE POINT STANDINGS - Joe Isabell 214. Jim Bogett 190. Jeff Sykes 190. Lowell Zehr 182. Mike Mullen 174.

Adult general admission Friday is $12 with everyone 18 yrs. old and younger FREE. Pit admission is $27 Participant/$30 Non-Participant. Gates will open at 5:30 with racing at 7:30.
