Steady Rain Cancels Brewerton, Patriot Sprints at Fulton on Saturday
BY: Skip Howe
Brewerton, NY (May 2nd) – A steady rain, causing ugly track conditions and soggy grounds forced Promoter Art Halliday to pull the plug on tonight’s action, but it actually gives people a chance to rest and save some cash for the huge Patriot Sprint Group action at the Fulton Speedway tomorrow night.
“We have competitors that drive a couple hours to get here and people who rush or get out of work early so they can make the races on time, canceling early gives everybody a chance slow down and do something else if they wish,” Halliday said.
Sprint Cars on the Fulton 3/8ths banked Fulton clay will bring a whole bunch of excitement as the 360 wing sprinters will go three wide and take the high outside line all the way to the wall, unlike anything you’ll see on a regular Saturday night.
In the pits we’ll probably see the Patriot group bring 25 to 30 cars and then look for to another 15 to 20 sprinters from stars of other New York and Pennsylvania Sprint groups.
Saturday night under the lights on the schedule are the Sportsman, Sportsman Rookie Crate and the Street Stocks.
The Fulton Speedway is located on County Route 57, approximately 5 miles from the Interstate 481 interchange. Grand stand admission prices are, 15 and over $14.00, Children ages 10 - 14 are $7.00 and under 9 are free. For more information about Fulton Speedway, visit www.fultonspeedway.com or call (315) 668-RACE.
Next Friday night at Brewerton is Little League night. Wear your Little League uniform and bring a paying adult with you and you’ll be admitted free. As an added feature, Brewerton Speedway will incorporate Autograph Night, originally slated for May 2nd into Friday May 9th's racing event. The race schedule will consist of the DIRTCar Big Block Modifieds, IMCA, ESDCA Mod Lites and the 4 Cylinder Super Stocks.

Decker two for two, Doug Williams, Rob Keller and Russ
Erwin also win at Brewerton
Brewerton, NY ( April 25, 2008) – It doesn’t matter
where he starts, because Billy Decker started 17th,
took over the top spot on lap and held on for his
second consecutive win at the “D Shape Demon.”
"It's great to be here at Brewerton in victory lane. John Wight and the crew gave me a great car tonight," Decker said.
"Larry was there in front of me and I think I crossed him up, but he's gonna get his wins don't worry. I didn't want to see the caution with four to go, I wasn't sure what we had left, but it worked out, these guys are tough here."

Decker goes for two in a row this Friday Night at Brewerton
Brewerton, NY (April 21, 2008) - This Friday night Billy Decker will attempt to make it two in a row at the "D Shaped Demon" in his #91 Gypsum Express Bicknell, but the usual contenders will be looking to de-thrown the Unadilla, NY driver.
Decker last weekend held off a hard charging Alan Johnson and Matt Sheppard to take the opening night win. Decker went on to win the following day at Canandaigua, this time it was Matt Sheppard in the runners up spot.
Sheppard managed to get the opening day win at Cayuga County Fair Speedway last Sunday, with the absence of Decker.
This Friday night another great field of cars in the DIRTCar Big Block Modifieds, IMCA Modifieds, ESDCA Mod Lites and the 4 Cylinder Super Stocks promise to pack the pits, race hard and sling the clay just like opening night.
Gates open at 5:30, race time is 7:30. Admission to the pit area is $20.00 for members and $25.00 for non members.
For more information on all the activities at Brewerton Speedway, you can visit the speedway's web site at www.brewertonspeedway.com or call (315) 668-2526.

night at Brewerton.

Decker, Casewell, Zehr, Hutchinson and Shumway win on opening night at Brewerton
Brewerton, NY – Billy Decker wasted no time taking the top spot away from outside pole setter Steve Hulsizer, four laps is all it took to be exact.
As Decker ran away up front the battle was on for second thru fifth until Steve Hulsizer got into the rear end of Willy Decker sending the 1x around and to the rear of the field. Hulsizer would be penalized, he too would be sent to the rear. With Decker and Hulsizer to the rear, Alan Johnson sat second, looking for a shot at the top spot.

358-MODIFIEDS TO CONTINUE AS LARGE PART
OF WEEKLY BREWERTON SPEEDWAY & FULTON SPEEDWAY PROGRAM
FULTON, NY – The 358-Modifed division has a long and storied
history at Brewerton Speedway and Fulton Speedway and that tradition
will continue weekly during the 2008 race season under the looser
2004 DIRT Motorsports rules. Each and every race night, the
358-Modifieds will join the Big Block Modifieds racing together
as one whole Modified division competing for DIRTcar Modified
points. All 358-Modifieds at both speedways will be scored as
a Big Block Modified and collect only Big Block points. However,
the 358-Modifieds will not have to run a rev box, only need
to weigh 2,400 pounds, and must run the specified Hooiser track
tire. In addition, any carburetor will be legal for the 2008
race season on a 358-Modified. All drivers wishing to race at
both Brewerton and Fulton as an option in addition to the home
tracks they already run are always welcome. [Full
