18th Annual Super DIRT Week Special on Thursday, October 7th

BREWERTON, NY…The 18^th Annual Super Dirt Week Special at Brewerton Speedway is set for this Thursday, October 7. Tim McCreadie is the defending champion of the 100 lap 358 Modified Super DIRTcar Series event at the D-shaped Dirt Demon. The popular Mod Lite class will complete the race fan friendly two division show on Upstate Spray Foam Night. Show time is 7:30 p.m.

 Alan Johnson is the all-time leader in Super Dirt Week victories at Brewerton Speedway with a total of five wins. Brett Hearn is the only other repeat winner with a total of three victories. Gary Tomkins, Tim Fuller, Bob McCreadie, Frank Cozze and Tim McCreadie are all one-time winners in the season ending event at the D-shaped Dirt Demon. Roger Horvath won the first ever race in 1993, which was an Empire Super Sprint show.

Kingston, Ontario driver Danny O’Brien is the current leader in the DIRTcar 358 Modified point standings. Pete Bicknell, Danny Johnson, Mario Clair and David Hebert complete the top five in the rankings. Danny Johnson is the lone American driver in the current top five. Both O’Brien and Bicknell are from the province of Ontario, with Clair and Hebert Quebec natives.

 Brewerton Speedway gates on Thursday, October 7 will open at 4:30 p.m. Race competition will start at 7:30 p.m. Adult admission is $20 with those ages 14 and under admitted for $10.
