Ingles Performance And Maple View Garage Present Family Fun Racing This Friday August 3 At The Brewerton Speedway

BREWERTON, NY - July 30,2012 (By Dave Medler) - With only five point races left in the season, every finish for the next few weeks takes on heightened importance in the battle towards crowing track champions.

On the race card this Friday will be the Tracey Road Equipment Big Block Modifieds, Nationwide Insurance IMCA Modifieds, Beaver River Distribution Mod Lites and Anchor Bar & Grill Four Cylinder Super Stocks. The Midstate Vintage Stock Car Club will also be making an appearance.

With his win last Friday night Billy Decker jumped over Matt Sheppard into second place in the points in the Tracey Road Equipment Big Block Modifieds. Jimmy Phelps leads the standings, but only by 28 over Decker. Matt Sheppard, Ryan Phelps and Pat Ward are third through fifth in the points.

The hottest battle at the speedway is in the Nationwide Insurance IMCA Modifieds. Defending track champion, Kevan Cook and Kingston, Ontario's Ryan Scott are deadlocked coming into this Friday night. Chris Fleming, Rich and Rob Keller are in the top-five in points and a threat to win every week.

Racers say the hardest win is the first one..On July 20th Jeff Isabell Jr. picked up his first ever Brewerton Speedway win. Then last Friday night, Isabell won his second straight Beaver River Distribution Mod Lite feature. Mike Mullen leads the way in the point standings, followed by, Gary Jeffries, Joe Isabell, Lowell Zehr and Nick Graziano.

Zak Petrie is looking to continue his top finishes as he shoots for his first ever Anchor Bar & Grill Four Cylinder Super Stock Championship. Jessica Redhead, Chad Dupra, Chuck Powelczyk and Colby Herzog chase Petrie in the points.
