Tim Sears Jr. Earns The NAPA Know How Performer Of The Week After Impressive Win At Brewerton Speedway

After just a handful of starts in a NAPA Late Model in 2010 Tim Sears Jr. out of Clay showed that his driving talents aren’t just limited to visits to victory lane in the open wheel Sportsman division.

On Friday night April 22 Sears sent a message that running a NAPA Late Model wasn’t just something to do on Friday nights while waiting to drive his Sportsman the rest of the weekend.

Grabbing the lead at the drop of the green Sears dominated the 20 lap feature holding off driving stars from not only Brewerton, but also Can-Am Speedway and Brighton Speedway in Ontario.

“The only time I heard or saw anyone was on restarts,” Sears said after his win. “I need more seat time, I’m still not as comfortable as I am in my Sportsman,” after only his 7th start and first win against drivers with a lot more laps in a NAPA Late Model.

For his win Tim Sears Jr. will receive $100 “NAPA Know How Performer of The Week” that is awarded weekly at both Brewerton and Fulton Speedways to one driver that outperforms all others that week across all classes.

The new NAPA Outlaw Speedway Discount Card program is expected to begin this weekend. The cards are in final production and will be handed to participating drivers at the track upon completion. Only drivers that have submitted a Driver Information Sheet with track management are eligible for the card that will provide discounted pricing on most racing related purchases throughout the 2011 race season.

In addition to the discount on purchases, 3% of every dollar spent using the NAPA Racer Discount Card will be returned to Brewerton and Fulton competitors as a NAPA point fund award at the end of the 2011 campaign.

This Friday night April 29th K-Rock 100.9/106.5 presents a full night of racing action featuring the Tracey Road Equipment Big Block Modifieds that had 34 cars fill the pits last Friday night. Also on the race card will be the NAPA Late Models, Nationwide Insurance IMCA Modifieds, Beaver River Distribution ESDCA Mod Lites and Metalico Four-Cylinder Super Stocks.

Gates will open at 5:30 with the first green flag waving at 7:30. Adult grandstand admission will be $12 with everyone 18 years of age and younger admitted free to the grandstands.
