Syracuse Haulers teams with Brewerton and Fulton Speedway on “Go Green” Initiative

The Brewerton and Fulton Speedways have teamed up with Syracuse Haulers to “Go Green” throughout the properties of both tracks for the 2011 season in an effort for a cleaner environment.

“We are implementing recycling for the first time at Brewerton and Fulton. We have placed carts for trash and recycling at strategic locations throughout the track. Each station has a black cart for trash, with a green cart next to it for recycling,” said Kevin Beverine from Syracuse Haulers. “Where applicable, we have placed signs indicating what items go in each container. We have also added an 8 yard container to separate cardboard out from the waste stream as well.”

“Our intent is to help both facilities “Go Green” from a recycling stand point. Each week we have asked the announcers broadcast the new system, which will enhance the track with less material being thrown hopefully under the stands and reduce the amount of trash, by having alternatives for the first time for recycling.”

Syracuse Haulers will also be the presenting sponsor of the May 21st, Greater Oswego-Fulton Chamber Mixer at Fulton Speedway, and also presents a full racing program at Brewerton Speedway on July 8th.

At both speedways you will notice these containers in the grandstand, concession, restroom and pit areas. Together we can all make our time at the speedways a cleaner and more enjoyable night out by doing our part.
